Navigating Early Medieval Europe (NEME) is the web portal that provides access to the Rural Riches Database for archaeological sites and attestations in written sources dating to the early Middle Ages (450-725 CE). It is created by the Rural Riches Project financed by the European Research Council (ERC) under grant number 741340 at the University of Leiden (Netherlands) as primary beneficiary and the Université de Liège (Belgium) as second beneficiary.

Notice: The database contains a lot more data than presented here. For now, basic information on archaeological sites is available. New records on sites in Europe are continuously added. In the near future new features will be added to allow for a better visualisation of data and more in depth analyses of sites and finds.
